Rising above the Hudson River and just across from newly renovated Clinton Park is one of the newest additions to the NYC skyline: The Mercedes House, a breakthrough design with a zigzag footprint and a silhouette of cascading green roof terraces that allow for unobstructed views of Clinton Park and the Hudson River.

Here are the facts you ought to know:

Height: 348 feet (106.1 m)
Floors Above Ground: 32
Apartment units: 864

The project began in 2007 and required a significant zoning change. It was partially completed in 2011.

Apartment rentals start at about $3,500/month.

Designed by Enrique Norten, internationally renown for his rethinking and reshaping of urban buildings and whose projects include boundary-breaking hotels, performing arts spaces, university buildings and museums including the Guggenheim Museum in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Build by the family-owned Two Trees Management, a New York development firm whose founder, David Walentas is known for his singular role in transforming the Brooklyn neighborhood of DUMBO from a neglected waterfront area into a thriving community now home to artists, galleries and performance spaces.

Residents of Mercedes House just don’t rent a home. With the extraordinary array of available amenities, they embrace a lifestyle: State-of-the-art wellness center and health club, on-site indoor parking, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, two outdoor decks with green space for sunbathing, bocce and yoga, indoor basketball, boxing studio, outdoor putting green, indoor/outdoor ping pong, outdoor amphitheater, juice bar, spinning studio, spa facilities and a lot more.
